New Amazon.com widget

You may notice that I have added a new box from Amazon.com that features some of my fave movies, books, and music.

The neatest part?

If you click through it and buy something, I get a bonus too! So hook a sister up, would ya?

Are you a yes (wo)man?

Really thought-provoking article here about career-driven women who say yes on the job all the time.

The price of saying "no" at work

Although my generation (Generation Y) is known for saying "no" in favor of work/life balance, I still know plenty of women (and myself included at times) who say "yes" even if it means missing other once-in-a-lifetime moments outside of the cubical walls.

Does anyone know a woman who has it both ways? A top position at a strong/thriving/competitive company and a fantastic family/husband/life? Michelle Obama maybe?

The question of sacrifice here is a crucial one.... and I'm still undecided.

Tick tick tick

Confessions

I don't know what it is about this story, but I found myself in there somewhere.

A confession on the second date

Little confessions, potentially big impact.

The best ones hold your hand anyways...
