Pure negligence

Ah my poor woefully neglected blog. I don't think apologies suffice, but they are there if you want 'em.

Here's an update:

- Traveling or otherwise busy almost every weekend this summer, doing mostly fun stuff and seeing lots of people.

- Had the flu last week = the suck.

- Tex and I are still enjoying cohabitation. Some talk has been bandied about re: the next step, but he made it pretty clear that until he begins to pull in a paycheck again (next summer/fall?) there is no sparkler in my future. Not worried at all, and glad it's at least a possibility :)

- New kitten is still hilarious, and Caesar (3-year old cat) grudgingly appreciates the company.

- Had a rough day this past Tuesday when I found out that my credit card number had been stolen and used to buy approximately $500 worth of random stuff (mostly food). The bank was great about it though (they actually alerted me to the fraud via e-mail), took everything off, canceled the card, and are sending me a new one. With any luck it is all set, but for protection I have put a watch on my credit report. What a pain, oy.

- Correlated to the credit card issue, some people really suck for no reason and just take a dump right on your lap (not a new revelation, but one that I've found particularly true after receiving an e-mail that went on at length about how much I suck personally and professionally). In the end, you just have to laugh and rise above to leave them standing shoe deep in poo.

- Couple of good weddings coming up, one next weekend, one in Sept., and one in January. All people I heart big time and lots of dancing is guaranteed. My kind of party.

- Going to get back in shape once in for all. Finally feeling the motivation I have been so sorely lacking. Goals: Lose up to 10 pounds by the end of November, tone flabby arms, eat healthier. Tex is on a health kick lately too, so it's nice to have a partner in this.

- Aside from the weddings, I am looking forward to a trip to Pittsburgh to see a very dear friend, a trip to Henderson Harbor to see family, and a trip to Baltimore to see the Sox and my bro and sis. Ole.

So there's a month in a nutshell. Hoping to get some sun this Sunday so I'm not the palest bridesmaid ever. True story. Will make an effort to write more frequently, or at least month than once a month.
