No Time Soon

It's been a while since my last post...another series of busy weekends/weeks and no Internet connection (yes, still...) at the new place.

The wedding was awesome, romantic, fantastic, etc... My former roomie and her new hubby are a beautiful couple and it's hard not to have fun when so much love is in the air.

Both Tex and I were completely wiped out after all the festivities and spent the next two weekends keeping it pretty chill. There was some afternoon drinking/kick ball then evening partying to say goodbye to a great friend who is moving back to NY on one Saturday, and this past Saturday we went to a Sox game (side note: a completely wasted and random woman took a picture of the two of us with her iPhone and then cooed the whole evening about how cute it was and insisted on sending it to my e-mail....almost made up for her nearly knocking me over and spilling beer on my feet...almost) where we won 8-2.

Tex spent another week in AZ for training and spent the rest of the time at my place. We had another talk about moving in together. I let him know he's welcome to whenever and he seemed to appreciate the openness/lack of ultimatums. I'm hoping it happens before Thanksgiving, but whatevs. When he's ready, he'll let me know.

September looks to be as busy as the rest of my summer has been. This weekend is a house-warming bbq at my place (peeps that I know: if you haven't seen/gotten the invite, holler at me, you are more than welcome). Next weekend is possibly watching a friend finish a hugenormous race and who knows what else. The weekend after that is a trip up to VT for some fam. fun time and bday celebrations. Then the last weekend in Sept. my big bro gets married.

Oh and also, in the middle of all of that, classes start. Yep, I'm heading back to school with two full credit graduate courses. One in copy editing for the job and one in personal finance for the new degree I'm considering. Should be a TON of work but I look forward to the challenge.

With all the stress that is coming my way, I'm definitely glad I started running again. This motivational shift was possible only because I signed up for a 5k the first weekend in October. A real goal to work towards makes it easier to get off the couch. Thankfully all the walking I've been doing has helped me stay in shape somewhat, so the running isn't hurting as much as I expected.

I'll write when I can come up for air. Any messages of encouragement are appreciated :)

Also, if you get a chance, buy this Gnarls Barkley song: No Time Soon. It's good stuff.
